Naomi was Barry’s partner and my host for the days that I spent in Boulder Creek. She was a painter whose work and stories stretched back to the hippie hey-days in San Francisco. When I asked for a love story, she told me about getting married to an African Prince when she was 18. She was one of several interesting women that I met on another rainy day in Boulder Creek.
